THE ROTHSCHILD FAMILY
Baron Edmond de Rothschild
The Rothschild family’s passion for wine started when James de Rothschild purchased Château Lafite in 1868. His great-grandson, Baron Edmond de Rothschild embraced his vision and expanded their wine portfolio by acquiring two estates in Listrac and Moulis-en-Médoc in 1973. This was to become Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, today overseen by his son and his wife, Baron Benjamin and Baroness Ariane de Rothschild.
Edmond de Rothschild Heritage includes vineyards in France, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand and South Africa.
